Hi, I am not 100% sure but I dont think he newer issue actualy has curly hair, From what I have gathered they just redid the hair and curled the ends of the hair under like it was supposed to be in the first place!! TTYS Kevin

New Candichatter!

I joined Candichat recently and I want to say "Hi" and to introduce myself! My name's Cindy and I live in Missouri. For those of you who read Vicky's Barb Talk I post there as Cindy in MO. That's how I found out about this Candi Chat List! I forgot who told me but "Thank You"! I am very new to Candi. I already collect Barbie & Topper Dawns and I aways said I would NEVER collect any other dolls. Well, you know how that goes! My Candi Collection started when I heard that Jason Wu was working with Integrity Candi! I knew how Incredibly talented Jason was because he used to post on Vicky's Barb Talk too! So I had to check the new Integrity Candis and I finally got to see them in person at a Doll show! And I just had to buy my first Candi - Cover Girl Candi - Raven Red Roses! So for Christmas when my hubby asked me what I wanted I told him Candis! A New Computer & Some stuff on e-Bay...

Hello Everyone, Well...we are off to buy a new PC today! I am quite excited as you can imagine. Finally I will be able to set up my own proper Web site and sell my stuff on e-Bay, and never have to wait and wait and wait while pictures load, etc...LOL. AND...A COUPLE OF LINKS I WANT TO SHARE... My friend (and e-Bay partner) Jay has put up some new Fashions this week. She's a great sewer and has always got original and interesting new material. Hi Rene and all! The Winter Mist fashions should be arriving with the Holiday Toast dolls. Integrity hopes to have them in the country by mid-November, which will put them in the hands of dealers by the 3rd week in November. The latest gossip comes from Helena. She is working on a great accessory set for Candi that will contain 21 items and retail in the $17 range. Also in the works are 3 additional dressed dolls in the Bettie Page collection but no pics are available as yet. One is Rhinestone Cowgirl, one is Cuervo Gold and the 3rd is Bettie in her Marilyn dress. She is also working on getting some Vintage fashions done, hopefully to arrive before the end of the year but possibly not until January 2002. They are projected to retail for about $18.95 - $19.95. Hope to have more from Integrity with their plans in the not too distant future. I understand there will be some sneak previews in an upcoming issue of Dolls in Print. Hello! Hope everybody had a great holiday. I know you haven't heard from me in forever. I have all kinds of stuff going on! Right now I am visiting my parents for the holiday. Have news too-I'm engaged! Anyhow, I'm trying to sell some of my dolls that I have left here in New Mexico so I don't have to send them to my house in Florida. Hi Melissa and all, Hey thanks for identifying that gown. LOL I got it at a thrift store just the other day on a blond Mackie face Babs, and I thought it was kinda cute, so I kept it. The doll it is on, is my "My Design" doll. She is a red headed Kira doll with green eyes, and I redress her a lot. The other two holiday outfits in the decorating the tree pics are the "Santa's Helper" Candi ( in her original outfit ) and the Mattel grocery store special outfit from a couple of years ago on my Fashion Model. Up stairs on the TV I also have the red Target christmas special gown on an Asian Candi and the Christmas Candi from a few years ago. Wait till you see my pics next year. My dear MIL got me the pink Barbie Christmas tree for Christmas. Yippeee. I can hardle wait to decorate it. It is so kitschy. My husband was rolling his eyes, but he should talk, he got me a new fishing reel. ( I needed one, but it is hardly romantic. LOL ) Hope everyone got some great dollies. I hope to be able to keep in touch, but we got a new mother board for the computer and my hubby is installing it. Luckily I had the lap top, but I better hide it, as he was talking about updating some programs on it. If you don't hear from me for a while, I am still alive!!! Kathy M.
