And I have to tell ya'll about the doll I got in the mail today - Joan Crawford by Juan! Juan - I love her! Thank you! I'm leaving tomorrow for a week visiting my mother and when I come back I'm going to make the perfect suit for her - with shoulderpads! Then I will attempt to post a picture because you have to see her. NEW Candi

Hi All, I got a NEW Candi! How long have we waited to say that? I got my Flores Rosada from Suzanne yesterday ( thanks Suzanne!) Wowza, this doll is just beautiful. Here is a pic of her with my latest thrift store find. Is this the right color for her or what? http://frivolities.com/dolltemp/flores.jpg I was so excited. It was so fun to get a new doll that I don't have to say, I love her but... I have just not been crazy about the shape of the Alyssa/Charice face. I can't wait to see some more of the new lines. I remember now what drew me to Candi in the first place. It was that "wow, gotta have it" reaction that I had to so many of the dolls. Even my hubby liked her, and he is sooo picky (just because it is him paying the bills Humph!) Kathy M. in dolly heaven. QUESTION!!!!!

Hi All, I want to know if any of you have tryed successfully to reposition Candi® arms?? I tryed once awhile ago and it went right back to the original position, isoaked that arm in boiling water for what seemed to be 10 minutes and it bent ok but for some reason it goes right back to where it was when you cool it down, the plastic or vinyl they use seems to have some sort of memory of its original position!! I want to reposition the arms on a new one I am doing of Glenn Close in Sunset Blvd! as the great Norma Desmond!! Any help guys???? TTYS Kevin K.

Hi All, Just got in a BUNCH of those newer Candi® baggies, the Israeli, Russian and Hispanic in all different haircolors, MORE dolls to makeover and play with!! They all have the same Candi® body ALTHOUGH the heads arent that well painted but doesnt really matter much since i plan on repainting anyway, the arms are a little stiff like the old Candi® dolls were, BUT workable!! The only thing I would really object to is the hair is a little sparse on them and they could use more hair rooted in. BUT there again I dont think with an elaborate updo its gonna matter much!! Good morning one and all. I'm back from Houston. The show was more lightly attended then is normally usual for this area but I think everyone that came had a good time. I know I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction and doll talk with other collectors! I also got to see Stefanie again from our list and it is always so much fun to get to talk to a fellow list member in person! Stef, I'm glad you could make it! I'm getting ready to download mail and catch up but wanted to pass along an update received from Integrity. It may have already filtered down to you while I was gone but I'ld rather you heard the latest twice or even more, then not at all, lol. The first wave of Candi International is now scheduled to arrive approx. the 3rd week of August. Now in addition to the AA, Liquid Silver and Paparazzi Python, the Asian and Danish dolls will also be arriving. I was delighted to hear that they had been added to the first shipment and hope that you are too. The balance of the dolls and fashions are scheduled to be in the country and distributed to dealers before the end of September. Additional good news is that, finally, those great pedestal stands that were introduced with the Mandarin Chic Jade dolls will be available as an accessory item. I know that I have begged for them since the day that I first saw them for use with other dolls in my collection. As much as I love the Kaiser stands there are some dolls that just plain display more beautifully without anything showing at the waist. They will be available packaged as follows: 6 stands White $6.95 6 stands Black $6.95 12 Stands White $12.95 12 Stands Black $12.95 The stands should start arriving the end of August and you are welcome to pre-order them. That's it for the moment. Dealers should have the pics of the Holiday Toast line available sometime this week, so another new update is lurking just around the corner.
