Hi all, Suzanne, I took a quick look at my Flores Rosada, and I have a little pink on my feet too. ( I mean the dolls feet. LOL ) Not bad, but it hasn't been that long either. Stain Removal Hints/My Doll

Suzanne & Kathy: I appreciate the hints for removing stains from dolls. My fav Teresa doll, the one that came in black velvet, had problematic boots. For some reason (I think it's because the slim hips and small chest make her different) I really love this doll, so hope this works. Many thanks. Hi, all! I just got back from the Marl & Joe Show in DC (actually Tyson's Corner, VA). It was rather smaller than in past years, but nice all the same. Candi -both Hamilton & Integrity- was well represented. Even some of Mikelman's new fashions were present... though there weren't many Charices. The sales table that I enjoyed the most had BarbieR dressed as nuns. This couple from TN had just about any order you could conceive of represented. There was one with a headpiece like "the flying nun"; there was one in a pink habit; there was one like Mother Teresa's order. They even had the Audrey Hepburn doll done up in both her black habit & her white habit from, "The Nun's Story". They were incredible; very precise & well researched! I succumbed to a Surf City Christie dressed in the Missionary of Charity habit (like Mother Teresa, in white with blue striped trim). I'm thinking of sending my Audrey Hepburn doll to this lady & get her dressed like "The Nun's Story"... Just wanted to share... Melissa

A friend sent this to me , i hope you enjoy it , it's meant for children but I liked it too.... and I quote The gentleman who wrote this, Rob Suggs, is a children's author and illustrator. He works a lot with the children at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. He is able to "lighten their load" through his art and story telling therapy... he's a wonderful guy. The children obviously are asking questions about the dire circumstances we are in, as well as the adults. This is what he has written to further explain the situation to the children he is working with in the hospitals...adapted from a classic story "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." ----------------------------------------------- The Binch By: Rob Suggs Date: September 13, 2001 Every U down in U-ville liked U.S. a lot, But the Binch, who lived Far East of U-ville, did not. The Binch hated U.S! the whole U.S. way! Now don't ask me why, for nobody can say, It could be his turban was screwed on too tight. Or the sun from the desert had beaten too bright But I think that the most likely reason of all May have been that his heart was two sizes too small. But, Whatever the reason, his heart or his turban, He stood facing U-ville, the part that was urban. "They're doing their business," he snarled from his perch. "They're raising their families! They're going to church! They're leading the world, and their empire is thriving, I MUST keep the S's and U's from surviving!" Tomorrow, he knew, all the U's and the S's, Would put on their pants and their shirts and their dresses, They'd go to their offices, playgrounds and schools, And abide by their U and S values and rules, And then they'd do something he liked least of all, Every U down in U-ville, the tall and the small, Would stand all united, each U and each S, And they'd sing U-ville's anthem, "God bless us! God bless!" All around their Twin Towers of U-ille, they'd stand, and their voices would drown every sound in the land. "I must stop that singing," Binch said with a smirk, And he had an idea--an idea that might work! The Binch stole some U airplanes in U morning hours, And crashed them right into the U-ville Twin Towers. "They'll wake to disaster!" he snickered, so sour, "And how can they sing when they can't find a tower?" The Binch cocked his ear as they woke from their sleeping, All set to enjoy their U-wailing and weeping, Instead he heard something that started quite low, And it built up quite slow, but it started to grow-- And the Binch heard the most unpredictable thing... And he couldn't believe it--they started to sing! He stared down at U-ville, not trusting his eyes, What he saw was a shocking, disgusting surprise! Every U down in U-ville, the tall and the small, Was singing! Without any towers at all! He HADN'T stopped U-Ville from singing! It sung! For down deep in the hearts of the old and the young, Those Twin Towers were standing, called Hope and called Pride, And you can't smash the towers we hold deep inside. So we circle the sites where our heroes did fall, With a hand in each hand of the tall and the small, And we mourn for our losses while knowing we'll cope, For we still have inside that U-Pride and U-Hope. For America means a bit more than tall towers, It means more than wealth or political powers, It's more than our enemies ever could guess, So may God bless America! Bless us! God bless!

If you are talking about a Candi, Barbie or other 11.5" vinyl, there are 2 methods you can try. The first one is Remove-Zit by Twin Pines and the 2nd method is extra strength, clear formula, Clearasil. I've removed stains with both of them, although it sometimes takes more than one application. I apply it, leave it on for a day, then remove. If a 2nd treatment is needed, I always let the vinyl rest for a 24 hr. period before reapplying. I have found with the dark stains that it usually takes 3 applications for removal. I don't use Remove-Zit on the 16" dolls, or on the torsos of the 11.5" dolls. I've heard too many reports of melt marks. I haven't had a problem with Clearasil, though. Hope this helps! No matter how the first name is spelled, they have arrived! I've put a new pic of the baggie up on the Candi stock page but you can also check out a second pic of her on the Charice page of the site. Hi all! This is the first report that I have seen about the shoes staining, so I took the liberty of reporting this to Integrity to see if they had had any other reports of staining. Here is the reply: <<Suzanne: I have not had any reports about this and will forward this to the factory to see if they can explain. We had asked them to do an aged testing for staining and as far as I know this did not pose a problem. I will keep you advised. Hi, all! I was putting my Cover Girl Candis back in the boxes; changing displays for the fall. I noticed that Flores Rosada has pink feet. Looks like her shoes may bleed a little on the vinyl. Just FYI... Melissa
