OT: Kenzie

I got the new Mystery Squad Kenzie at TRU. I am so impressed. The only modern Barbie that I have bought since the first year of the Gen. Girl dolls was a Silkstone. This doll has such a funky style. It seems like her hair gets bigger every time I look at her, I love it! This line sort of replaces the Generation Girl line and if you'll look at the dolls they do sort of bear resemblance to the Gen. Girls. AND Kenzie's jacket is actually tagged Generation Girl. Hmmm ... If you have a TRU then you should check this doll out. OR you could go to eBay (I listed my second one there). These dolls are $20.00 retail but worth it. Hi Robin, Yes the pants are a little short, but that is a pet peeve of mine about most pants. I put high heels with the snake ones, and it doesn't look too bad. I was really tickled when the Ken FA came out with the black pants, and the burgundy sweater, as the pants in that set were FINALLY long enough for Ken to sit down in, and not look like a complete dork. LOL I even find that I have to lengthen pants in the patterns when I sew for dolls, as even the patterns run a little short. Kathy M. >Kathy: > >Sounds fun! Thank you all for your prayers

Hi all, I wanted to thank all of you that said prayers for my Husband and I. I greatly appreciate it. We went to the Doctors yesterday who said the mole had a cyst under it or alongside of it and was extremely infected, etc. He had to numb the whole area and try to drain it. Now we are putting antibiotic cream on it and keeping it covered. We have to go back in one month to see how it is doing and whether or not the Doctor will do a biopsy or (God forbid) have the large entire mole along with the cyst taken off. I hope that is not the case. Again, thanks so much, You "guys" are great. Karla

Hi all, I had a chance to play with the Kari Michelle dolls yesterday. Got the outfits off, and slit both tops up the back. I Fray checked the heck out of the sides where I had cut it. I sewed hooks n eyes on the green one, but the black top on the snakeskin one I just pinned. Put both outfits on my fashion models and they fit perfectly. Even the pants. The green knit one is gorgeous on my red head Dusk to Dawn. There just is not quite enough room in these outfits for a Candi, but they look great on the FMs. I have got to get something fixed soon. I have so many pics to share, you guys will be sick of them! I suppose it is rude to nag hubby on his birthday. LOL Tomorrow will be busy too, as my baby turns 3! Hubbys dad's birthday was last weekend. The Mroczko men are just born in sept. it seems, but boy am I getting tired of baking cakes. Better scoot. Off to the garages sales, and then have to make one more cake, and get the one I baked yesterday decorated. Will try and get some pics done somehow this weekend. Kathy M. with mixing elbow. OT - prayers are needed

Hi All, Hope everything is well with everyone. My husband had a fairly large mole on his face - he has had it all his life. He did have it looked and the Dermatologist told him it was OK unless it changed. It started hurting him on Thursday and by Saturday is was swollen and red. Now it is twice the size. We are scared to death that it might be cancerous or something else serious. We were referred to another Dermotologist because our insurance changed and they were not open today so tomorrow I will be calling them to see if he can get right in. Our doctor gave him antibiotics. We are really scared and I would greatly appreciate any prayers. Thanks so much, Karla

Found things finally!

HI All, I just wanted to post for those of you with Big Lots in your area that have NOT had any of the great deals that everyone is talking about. I popped by our Big Lots yesterday, and they FINALLY had the James Dean doll for $12.99, and all six of the Kari Michell dolls for $5.00 each. I picked up the green knit outfit, and the black snakeskin pants one. At those prices, I am willing to work on the outfits to get them to fit, and the dolls can go in my Goodwill box, unless someone has a yen for them? They also had the cute playsets that represent a hotdog cart, a cyber cafe, and a sushi bar. These were $3.00 each, and had some great accessories for those who like to do dioramas. I resisted, but it was hard. I need to get my hubby to fix the FTP site, as I have several new OOAKs to share, as well as needing to take a pic of my number 3 in the houndstooth outfit from Candi. She looks darling in it. I added the houndstooth purse from Tiny Totes ( just finally found some of those at our Walmart) and she looks fabu. On the topic of the Jaks dolls. I think the vinyls used on them are just not very stable. I think there have been alot of reports of them turning colors. Many have arms that have turned an odd orangish yellow, so I don't suppose it is too odd the have the torsos do it too. I only have one, and have not undressed her to see what has happened. Hello Elizabeth, youÂ´re really a lucky collector that you found all Fab Fur dolls. I bought one with red hair and gold dress from Ivonne, I think she will look great. Additionaly I will get two Candi-baggies from her. I also like other fashiondolls even more than Barbie and IÂ´m glad that I can order Candis and Integrity dolls from Suzanne from time to time. As I know from ebay you have already a great collection of dolls, sometimes IÂ´m rather jealous. Recently, Anja forwarded an e-mail to CandiChat that she had received from a woman named Ivonne. Ivonne was selling some of her Candi dolls and had come across Anja's site, and thought she might be interested in them. Well, I bought one of Ivonne's dolls (a Fab Fur Charice that I had always wanted) and she arrived today. She is GORGEOUS!! She was a good buy, still in the box, with the tag on her wrist, etc...and Ivonne shipped straight away and did not overcharge in any way.
