HI All, I agree with all the raves. Hope you are blushing Randall!!! Love the packaging, and the fashion is darling. I put it on my Red Head Candi Basic, but Veronique is watching her like a hawk and is ready to pounce. These girls are so spoiled. And Pat, you had better get one, or you really WILL be sorry. I think there are a couple of extras, but not many. I will try and post a pic in the next day or two to really tempt you. Also about the Ebay question. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt for about 10 days. I once had a guy mail me a check from CA. It took 9 days to get to CO. Tougher if you haven't had ANY communication, but I am in the middle of one right now where the buyer insists I haven't e-mailed her, and 4 e-mails later she is still looking for a total. I wish people would pay attention to their filters. Try sending a reminder through e-bay. Then make sure you file a Non paying bidder reminder so you can get your final value fee back. Kathy M. Hi, I received this wonderful outfit today. I love it! Thanks Randall. I put it on Betty Paige and she looks fabulous in it. I got Betty as a baggie doll and she has had nothing on for at least two years...I think it has been longer, actually, so she appreciates having something on at last. Fashions in hand!

Hello, I received the fashions today! They have to go through my QC test and then be packaged. So far everything looks great! I also wanted to mention that the earrings have gold filled posts to help prevent green ear. I'm anxious to get them sent out to you all. Take care, Randall

Candi Chat Fashion Arrive!

Randall: It arrived and it's wicked! I forgot about the groceries when I drove up and saw the package on my doorstep (left frozen stuff thawing, lol), and sat and examined my prize in detail. What a thrill to have this piece - the skirt and top beautifully lined, the pleats sized right, the saucy little flower on the shoulder - so much pizzazz - then the hat, I've never seen anything like it nor anything I've liked so much - the snappy little purse, shiny with contrasting black and red, along with a little pearl snap - the jewelry, just lovely, the shoes, just right - EVERYTHING - JUST BLOODY BEAUTIFUL! Then I got looking at the amazing packaging - a beautiful silver and white box with a nifty card on the back that labels the item and is signed by both you, the designer, and Anja... so many details that answer just about any question one would have about this item. Well, I have one problem - I DON'T WANT TO OPEN IT AND RUIN IT! Oh mi gawd, I NEVER leave anything in its box. And I won't this either but, oh woe is me, I hate to do it. First time ever for this dolly player! I ginergly removed the tape on the sides (thank you thank you thank you for not packaging like Mattel) and was happy to see things pinned and not sewn, so if, no I mean when, I remove everything I'll have the option of putting it back if I want. I'm going to photograph it first so I'll know exactly how it should be positioned. Then I'm going to try it on the gals I love. Then I'm going to skite to a few people that I have THE exclusive Candi Chat fashion (I'm never snobby like that, really, but this one makes me wanna, I just can't help myself). Thank you, Randall, for your dedication to this project, it feels like a gift. And thank you to Anja for starting the group and for continuing to facilitate it. p.s. China Girl Candi

I did a bit of a makeover on my China Girl Candi tonight. I've had her since she first came out and I must say that I had grown very tired of her look. Wild make-up and lots of thick, wild hair wasn't working for me anymore. LOL I rooted in a side part, cut it into a bob and curled it under. Now she's much more chic! The short hair suits her very well, it sort of balances out the make-up. I don't have a camera here at the house but as soon as I can take her into the studio I'll share pics and see what you all think of her. Randall Craig www.choic.com

Slightly OT Lilli

Hi All, I picked up a couple of really fun dolls this weekend, and thought you might be interested. As most of you know, Barbie is a copy of a German doll called the Bild Lilli. Well, these are copies of that same German doll, made in Hong Kong, or more popuarly known as Hong Kong Lillis. They are made of incredibly cheap, light weight plastic. They are a strung doll with leg joints that splay outward when the doll sits. ( Mattel did score with the redisigned leg joint!) The shoes are molded on, and there are holes in the feet for a stand. I had to restring the dolls, but unless those leg joints were incredibly tightly strung, I don't see how they ever would have stood up. The hair on these is made of the really soft stuff, like the early Barbies. The light blond one has tiny spiral curls, and the darker haired one has what looks like might have been a hard curl at one time. The clothes are clone things from a company that called their doll Wendy. Does the blue one look like "Movie Date" or what? My mother in law was helping out with a doll sale, and told me about these, and she couldn't decide if they were early Barbies or what. Have I taught that woman nothing? Anyway, I would kill for a German Lilli, and that is probably the only way I would get one, but I was really tickled with these. My friend Deb is getting the one with the darker hair.
