oh you're right about the hat I let her wear the large brim hat the she came with in the swimming suit outfit...which I feel goes better with the dress...aren't the polka dots navy blue tho??? I can't tell dk colors any more apparently. Hi Melissa, I think you are right about the other outfit.I had totally forgotten about that! My girls really love Randall Craig fashions. I am so bummed I missed that recent silver/gray Midnight Moonlight (or something like that) dress. Sigh. I love the articulated body.it's mainly the face paint on some of the new ones I am not so wild about. I love their original faces, although there are many new ones I like too. Just some of them in this past year are different. I don't know if it's the 'airbrushing' or just the styling. Some of the eyes seem 'squinty' and some of the make up is a little overdone. And don't get me wrong.I am a big fan of a lot of make up, it's just odd on some of the newer dolls. I bought a few of the extra articulated bodies and will pick a few of my favorite older girls to get them. I am just worried about breaking the neck on the original body.it's already happened once to me. They have become very brittle with age and that is just too bad. There is also a set that I got that was similar only with a polka dot skirt and sweater. I have many of Randall's fashions, but not as many as I'd like! They are so nice. I also jumped on the FR bandwagon.love these dolls. I am so glad I have most of the early ones though, because they are my favorites. The new ones are ok, but they just don't quite wow me as much. Hi everyone, I don't often check my old e-mail address, but I did today and was pleased to see a few CandiChat digests. I miss that group. Do you remember Bettie Paige , the pin up girl from the 50's...some of the Candi dolls were fashioned after her for a short time, was in in the 90's? She just died at age 85 of a heart attack. As I remember, she wasn't all that aware of what an impact she'd made on the pin up industry at first ( was even a Playboy centerfold in their early days) & never thought her posing was a big deal. .....got religion in later life & there was brief era when interest in her was revived around the 90's. oh , here's a news article about her & pic. , she was cute Pat Hawkins http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28185814 whoops, I looked her up on the net, be careful of some of the sites you go to ...downright porn
