Hi Melissa and all, Hey thanks for identifying that gown. LOL I got it at a thrift store just the other day on a blond Mackie face Babs, and I thought it was kinda cute, so I kept it. The doll it is on, is my "My Design" doll. She is a red headed Kira doll with green eyes, and I redress her a lot. The other two holiday outfits in the decorating the tree pics are the "Santa's Helper" Candi ( in her original outfit ) and the Mattel grocery store special outfit from a couple of years ago on my Fashion Model. Up stairs on the TV I also have the red Target christmas special gown on an Asian Candi and the Christmas Candi from a few years ago. Wait till you see my pics next year. My dear MIL got me the pink Barbie Christmas tree for Christmas. Yippeee. I can hardle wait to decorate it. It is so kitschy. My husband was rolling his eyes, but he should talk, he got me a new fishing reel. ( I needed one, but it is hardly romantic. LOL ) Hope everyone got some great dollies. I hope to be able to keep in touch, but we got a new mother board for the computer and my hubby is installing it. Luckily I had the lap top, but I better hide it, as he was talking about updating some programs on it. If you don't hear from me for a while, I am still alive!!! Kathy M. To all those who celebrate it Merry Christmas! And season's greetings to everyone. It is so hot here we have all the airconditioners going and the fans and the fridge is very popular. For a Christmas without a doll under the tree I still did very well in the pressie department. And hot as it is, at least we don't have fires here or the storms they have had in the south of the country. I think the neighbourhood kids probably spent the day playing under the garden sprinkler in the shade. In fact, it's not a bad idea. Have a wonderful one folks and enjoy your time with family and friends. Sandra the lurker

Interesting that you bring up Doll Reader, Pat. I have recently had experiences at shows from Doll Reader afficionados asking me why Candi wasn't advertised or written about in that magazine. They were enthralled with and bought some of the Candis I had but until seeing her at the show didn't know anything about her. I still encounter so many people who have never heard of the Candi doll, it is somewhat surprising. I would like to see Candi in Doll Reader, speaking for myself. BTW, glad to see that you are sill with us! Hi, all! Happy holidays to each & every one! Just a couple little bits of dollie news. Vicky will no longer be publishing Dolls In Print. Looks like the last issue was the Winter one. Those with subscriptions are getting pro-rated refunds. Sigh! Another good doll magazine "down the tubes"... There are some nice new 11 1/2" and 15 1/2" doll patterns out from Simplicity & Jo-Ann is having a $1.99 sale on Simplicity patterns through the end of the month, I believe. There is even a picture of Charice wearing one of the 90's outfits in the latest Simplicity catalog. Just thought you might be interested. Melissa in MD (decked in holly & dollies)
