Hi Pat, Not a peep about it on our boards. Where are you hearing this? Would love to pass it on. Also, I would love to see a pic of these CED dolls you are talking about. I rarely get to see other dolls as we have almost no doll shows in our area, and I don't get any other doll magazines.
As far as removing paint and repainting, I see no problem in it. The original maker recieved their money for the doll, and the artist has a right to do as they please. For many dolls it is a definete improvement! LOL I also understand the rage for the handmade clothes. At the price point of many of the outfits ( especially the 15" ones) you can buy an artist made outfit with more flare and quality and have something no one else has. And on the Barbie things, as Randall has pointed out, the quality isn't that great at all. Of course, I may be a " little biased" LOL as the remake things is my passion.

Kathy or others, have you encountered controversial discussions on any of the remake boards, with the burgeoning business of taking paint of faces of dolls and collectors redesigning dolls? I'm gathering that this is becoming a somewhat hot topic? Regards, pat ----- Original Message -----
