Yes, it was originally pepto pink... yuk! (I've never been part of the "pink movement" lol) I experimented with both craft acrylic and model car paints. Air-painting produces a better finish on large pieces than brushed on paint, so I used craft acrylic because it was available in inexpensive cans and I needed 2-3 coats to cover the pepto pink. But the model car paint adheres better to plastic, and I used that on my small pieces. I might invest in an airbrush gun so I can use model car paints in an economical fashion. I got the window frame at a craft store and attached my own city scene to the back (it was in the aisle with unfinished wood shapes, probably for doll house projects). These days I can't go anywhere without thinking "accessory potential" in order to house my gals, and sometimes forget what I had originally gone into the store for. lol
