I just don't have room for the Gene things, so I have sort of gotten over those. That, and the increase in price in Gene made me much less likely to buy more.
Do you mean that their original retail value is too much to continue buying more or do you mean that their resale value has increased thereby making them less attractive for you to continue buying?
As far as next year, I am sure there will be more things ordered in
the
FR line. I think I will buy one of the lounge kitties,
Okay, are these Lounge Kitties Integrity dolls or Mattel dolls?
and I know I will
get one of the Princess of Greece dolls to play with.
Oh, this doll's promo pics look like she will be a fast seller. And I'm definitely going to get a few, if the doll lives up to pictures. I don't think Mattel has ever created a more stunning sculpt AND hairstyle on one doll. I love Mackie's contributions to Mattel sculpts. I sure wish he could inspire some more hairstyles other than straight and long or sort of curly and long. I've been intrigued by the birthstone dolls but can't get psyched because the hairstyles bore mes.
And to add to the question. How about the worst things coming out? I
thought Mattel couldn't make anything uglier than the Flavas dolls, but have you seen the new Kellys? Horrible things with big heads. They have lost all their cuteness.
I saw these Kelly dolls for the first time yesterday and thought certainly the doll had an exchange of heads with the Fly. I'm not a huge fan of the Bratz line or the My Scene dolls so I wouldn't care for mini Bratz on Kelly dolls. But I have discovered this year that the Bratz line does have a hold on pre-teens. I must say, with the face that looks like it's had a major attack of collagen to the lips, I'm going to have issues. I think the face pushes pout to an unglorious extreme. I guess it must be my age...
I don't think the Flavas have much appeal to anyone. Wonder what got Mattel willing to even try marketing that line?
