Thanks so much for your response.  Now I really feel alot better!, LOL.  I , like you and your friend also but other
"things" such as anything Victorian and I also collect vintage handbags.  I am in the right group here.

Please write and tell me that yes, people do collect as many as 1,800 dolls - either you or friends or anyone.  Well, I am off to the doll rooms.

I have at least 2 friends , maybe more, that have thousands of dolls...they collect all kinds including antique, to  Barbie.  One of these friends  also collects just about everything else you can imagine...antique clothes , hats & jewelry, doilies. stuffed animals, perfume bottles, dishes, vases &  the like,... paperdolls, paper valentines & greeting cards, esp. those with dolls on them & other paper stuff I can't remember now.
 I  also have lots of dolls, hundreds of them , maybe over a thousand, never counted, also other doll related items such as doll furniture,  doll houses, doll dishes, paperdolls,  miniatures of all kinds   Pat H.
