Hi,
I'm still around.  Getting very few dolls. Was surprised to see the candi digest coming to me again.  I don't know how to get myself off the list.  Was under some other email address.   I went to the convention for Gene under Jason Wu, but do not know why, except I had nothing else to do at that time.
Good to hear from you people again and therefore glad I couldn't get off the list.

HI Pat and all,
I am still hanging around here too. I miss the folks on
Candichat, and think about you often. Sort of miss Candis too, but am
filling in with some Fashion Royalty here and there. It is too hard to
get most of the line, but I found that joining the club made sure I got
a couple of them last year, and that is enough for me. Still buying
Vintage Barbie, and have returned to that more and more. Nothing much
in the new Barbie line appeals to me, so I don't think I bought a one
last year.
Been on a sort of reduced dolly budget for the last year too. I
got my Real Estate license in Jan of last year, and it is an incredibly
expensive business to be in. I am in the hole $9,000 for working all
last year. Doesn't seem fair to work that hard, and owe that much.
LOL But, the worst of the fees and equipment are paid for, so hopefully
this year, there will be a little extra money made.
It has been different having to be at work after spending so much
time home with Grayson. I still get to set my hours, so get to
volunteer at his school, and be there when he gets home. He is in first
grade and seven years old. Can you believe it? Here is a pic of the
whole gang last summer. We had just hiked about 3 1/2 miles up a
mountain, so may not look our best, but here we are:

Hugs to everyone.

In case anyone might be interested, I do have a Candi doll for sale.  She is the Sublime Elegance.  She has the very kinky curly hair.
She has never been played with or redressed. I'm keeping her outfit, so she is being sold nude. I've seen her sold nude for $50., so I'm selling her for $35.00 plus shipping.  If anyone is interested, or would like to see a picture, please email me at janeecat1944@yahoo.com.

I'm selling a lot of my dolls as I have a big chiropractor bill to pay!!!

Thanks! Jan

Hi to any one remaining out there
I still collect dolls now & then. I have a number of Jason Wu's
before they got so expensive. I have tons of Candi dolls from 'back
in the day', up & including the few Jason did from Integrity. Would
love to have a few of his newer ones but don't buy dolls that much &
am very careful about price....Except Monsieur Z. What a departure,!
I'm not liking the very white eyes & the almost cartoonish facial
features, but I guess that's the idea.
I have a few Gene's but never liked those cold eyes & tho Jason's
Genes' eyes look better, I think I'll pass
I have some Tyler Wentworth but they get expensive too,my fav. of
those right now, is Jak
I went to an auction, my 1st... & got a bunch of mini dolls,
( includ. a few antique frozen Charlottes)...all these dolls were
old but I don't know much a bout them.
My 1st love was Barbie & I continue to buy one now & then, Actually
my fellow doll loving friends usually give me one for a Xmas or
B'day present.
Currently, tho I'm baby sitting my newest grand child, 16 mo old Emma.
Also am recuperating from an arthroscopy of the l. knee. I did
amazingly well at 1st until they started adding weights at my phys.
therapy. What's with these wts !? The knee is already sore & just
exercising to get it to bend & support my wt. should be enough , you
don't need to add wt.s to something that's swollen , bruised , cut
on & trying desperately to heal itself. Don't get me started
Here's a Xmas pic. of me & my 4 grandkids Pat

Hi Pat,

It's good to hear from you again.  I think most of us are still "around" to one degree or another, but when Candi tanked, so did the "chat".  I still love my Candi dolls and wouldn't trade them for anything.  She sure had a volatile, albeit short, life!

I'm thrilled to see Jason and Randall doing so well, aren't you?  Who would've known 'way back when.  Remember when Jason got his driver's license?  LOL.

Money has kept me from continuing to collect.  I pick up a doll once in a while if it's a really good bargain, but active collecting is out of my league.  I still lust after Fashion Royalty and I agree with you about the Monsieur Z line.  Just not my taste, I guess.  I love the detail in the FR outfits and accessories.  Amazing.

Who else is still "here"?

Hugs,
Weaver
