I had posted several days ago about my troubles with my A Model Life Barbie set. I called Mattel again today. Basically they said if I send the doll back they will reimburse me for the purchase price of the doll. I bought the doll from Paul David and as you may know shipping is $7.00. That means by the time I get a replacement I would be out $14.00 total shipping to me from PD as well as the cost of shipping the doll back to Mattel. I told them that is not acceptable and that I want to be reimbursed for the cost of the replacement doll including shipping expenses because it was a defective item. They should have caught these things in quality control and I really feel that they should make amends and that I should not be out that much $ on shipping charges just to get a doll that is not defective. She told me that they wouldn't do it so I asked for her supervisor ... I'm waiting on a call back. I am so frustrated! Mattel has always made things right when I used to buy the lower end merchandise but now that I buy an expensive item they don't seem to know what customer service it.
