Thanks, all , for your discussion on how you keep up with the Integrity doll lines. Colin, thank you for providing me the Fashion Royalty link, as Leanne has agreed with you that it is an excellent resource.
Well, folks, while I would love to get involved with buying more dolls, I will just have to wait and see how my current collection defines itself before buying newer dolls. I hate to be a nag, but I still haven't gotten a definitive answer as to WHO the doll was that was in Silvana's holiday greetings photo. I'm dense: I do not know this doll and her identity must be clearly spelled out for me. Is she one of the Fashion Royalty dolls? Which lines from Integrity have more limbs jointed than at the usual hips, and shoulders and neck? Are all the newer Integrity dolls larger than the typical 11.5" fashion dolls? I could spend hours perusing the websites you've all suggested, but then I'd be too sorely tempted to buy. If I can get my information from the tiny old CandiChat I do not get myself into trouble--unless you are all very intentionally trying to enable me into doll substance abuse--that wouldn't be very nice of you--who I have come to trust, LOL!
Have a great deal more of future eBaying I must do this year. Yuck! Slogging through my crappy doll collection has not been fun, thus far. While I'd like to say it's my new year's resolution to get my out-dated collection refined this coming year, the task is daunting because sales on eBay are so appalling for many of my dolls. But what bugs me more is what I perceive are sloppy eBay bidders. PayPal has taken the personal touch out of the eBay experience and bidders seem to have gotten more irresponsible about their commitment to the purchase. I know I sound like a broken record, but there is a trend that I am personally encountering that buyers take an inordinate amount of time to make payments if not by PayPal. I think I must be a dinosaur and my style of eBay selling is just going to have to be modified to reflect the expectations of the market. Only it's taking me awhile to make the adjustment. In the meantime, I'll just kvetch in cyberspace and on CandiChat.
Any of you have any new year's resolutions for your doll collecting? TTYL, Pat Brown

Hi, Pat! All the sources mentioned so far are good but the one that helps keep me up-to-date with the most immediate (and I do mean immediate!) info is the Fashion Royalty group on Yahoo. It's devoted strictly to the Fashion
Royalty
dolls only so you don't have to wade through any other postings about any other dolls to find out what you want to know. As Kathy mentioned, if you wait to get the news via magazines or any of the other usual sources,
you'll
miss out on many, if not most, of these dolls. They're simply too hot, too popular, and too limited. In the case of these dolls, "need to know basis" really becomes "know as soon as possible," otherwise it's "know thy secondary market prices." I can identify with what you mean about the magazines piling up. I never throw any of mine away either! LOL
Better yet, give someone like Suzanne at Doll Dreams and Cuddly Things (or your favorite FR dealer) a quick call and she'll update you on any
upcoming
dolls and fashions that are still available. All of the 2003 fall/winter releases are pretty much sold out already although some dealers still have
a
few Purple Factor Adele dolls and Fashion Currency outfits left. The Mauve Absolues and the Fashion Plate giftsets are gone as well as the special limited edition Fashion Plate giftsets that were exclusive to Doll Dreams and Cuddly Things and Katy's Kollectibles. The Exotica Adele is still available for pre-order but is also selling out quickly. This coming Toy Fair in February will probably make these dolls explode even more, if
that's
even possible. The furor they've caused already is quite remarkable. All
the
dealers I know say they've never seen anything like it in the doll collecting community, ever. Hope this helps a bit! Hope you all had a
Merry
Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

Hi, CandiChatters: Happy Holidays!
Bring me up to speed here. How are most of you keeping up with the new lines of Integrity fashion dolls? Are you all visiting a website
regularly,
or do you find out about the new lines by word of mouth or some fashion
doll
magazine? I don't want to start taking any more doll magazine
subscriptions
because I can never stand to part with them--there's always some
information
I'll be looking for later--so better I never let them in the house in
the
house in the first place. I'm better getting information on an as-I-need-to-know basis. So, please tell me how you all keep up with
the
latest lines from Integrity.
By the way, the doll that Silvana pictured in her Holiday Greetings to
the
list, do most of you have that doll, too? Thx, Pat Brown ----- Original Message ----- From: "mroczko" mroczko@verinet.com To: candichat@dolls.de Sent: Friday, December 26, 2003 8:56 AM Subject: Preview pics
Hi All, For those into the Fashion Royalty, this pic has been posted on
their
web site. It is the latest fashion Pak exclusive to Suzanne and
Katys.
If
you haven't gotten any of these fashions, I strongly suggest you give
them
a try. They are just wonderful and so well made. They look stunning
on
just about any doll, but get them quick, as they sell out VERY
quickly.
