Hi, all! You can see pictures of the M C Hammer doll & outfits on ebay at auctions #1385614522 for doll, #1385559780 for outfit, and #1384801785 for 2 other outfits. Just FYI... Melissa
thanks for the Ebay info...I have 2 MC Hammer dolls in boxes, bought back in the days when I bought everything...thinking I could sell them later & make a million. I also have a Vanilla Ice doll & the New Kids on the Block & Michael Jackson & Donny & Marie. & the 4 Bev. Hills 20---- dolls, Dillon & all I guess I could set up a nightclub scene or stage show or something..take them all out of their boxes . Actually, these male dolls, esp. if made by Mattel, are all quite good looking. I didn't realize the MC Hammer doll was later the Jamal doll, with a diff. hairstyle. The Hammer hair style is still ' in ' now... I could take at least one of these guys out of the box, get him out of those ridiculous harem pants & into something hip but normal...the girls would appreciate another male , there are so few now.
In looking for male dolls, be sure to check drugstores, groceries & the like. Last year at Xmas time, our grocery carried quite good looking & inexpensive male dolls dressed as soldiers, police & firemen. Currently, at our Big Lots store & a store called Dollar General...there are sev. cheap but good looking male dolls with sev. different face modes. ( Including that one I think looks like James Bond.) Then there are all these soldier dolls that I see in ToysR us & Walmart & the like. Some of them are good looking, some have an interesting face that reminds you of an older male or a 'boss' type figure & of course, some look as mean & nasty as h---. Trouble with so many that aren't made by Mattel..is that they have such big feet you can only use the boots that come with them or those big hands won't fit into a shirt sleeve or only stretch type shirts will go over those massive shoulders.
I used one of these figures that looked like he had been on steroids with all those bulging muscles...and he had a bald head & moustache , in my beauty salon scene...wearing his army fatigues, boots & sleeveless muscle shirt. He was a bit uncomforable at first, but I think he likes it now. All my girls ask for him to do their hair.

Pat, Can you post of picture of your beauty salon scene? It sounds wonderful, and funny. I'd love to see it.
