I have put libncurses.so.5 from /usr/pkg/lib to /usr/lib. It works now. It seems to me that your bindings don`t need adaption. I will check the library search path for gcc. It`s weird that the binary don`t find the right library, even when the -lncurses path is given. Thanks a lot. By the way. Why don`t you upload the bindings to the gnu-pascal site? Some little webspace for gpc bindings/stuff would be great. That`s also what fpc is doing. eof bug in GPC

Hi folks! I reported a bug in GPC some months ago: http://www.gnu-pascal.de/crystal/gpc/en/mail11285.html Basically, GPC fails to report eof = true after a reset when a file is empty. In the Replies, Waldek Hebisch provided a patch: http://www.gnu-pascal.de/crystal/gpc/en/mail11309.html Recently someone in Hong Kong was working with my programs and the bug was still there. I think she has the most recent version of GPC, so the patch apparently has not been implemented. I had to make a rather horrible kludge to get around this. Basically I have a function, emptyfile, to replace eof. If it counts less than 2 characters in a file, that file is deemed 'empty'. In my cases this will work because the relevant files have more than two characters if they are not empty, but of course it will not work in general! Does anyone know the status of this patch? Will it be put into GPC? If not, why not? Thanks! Tom Dr. Thomas D. where are the ncurses bindings?

O.k I got the bindings on my HD. Now, How I can compile some sample code with it? Will this work if test.pas is the MAIN sourcefile, and the ncurses.pas (the binding) is in the same directory? gpc -o test test.pas -L/usr/pkg/lib -lncurses -I/usr/pkg/include I can take a look on both types (ncurses.pas and ncurses.h) when I know how to compile it correctly. Hello folks I compiled gnu-pascal on my NetBSD 2.0.2 box yesterday. It worked well. After some basic compiler tests, I would like to know, how to compile a ncurses program. I have the ncurses lib already installed. It looks like this: /usr/pkg/lib/libncurses.so /usr/pkg/include/ncurses.h O.k, now I have some questions: 1. Where can I find the gpc BINDINGS to ncurses? I only found the library on the gpc-webspace. 2. What are the compiler flags to compile gpc-ncurses code? 3. A small test code would be very useful. Any suggestions? gp works fine with including objective C files via: {$L file.m} but does not include the language extension for .m. GPC web site is back

This announcement is a bit late, as actually most of the web site has been operating for a weeks now, but anyway. I'm glad to announce that the complete GPC web site, including the mailing list archives, the search engine, downloads and contributions, is fully working again. It's on a new server with upgraded hardware, so access should be faster now as well (if it ever was slow before ;-).
