1. Are you talking about the same thing in the first place? AFAIUI, The Chief's issue is with `-B' options, yours with multiple directories in `--unit-path'. The union of both problems would be multiple dirs in a `-B' option, but AFAIK GPC doesn't allow that at all (though it allows multiple `-B' options, though I really wonder when someone should need them ...)

Actually my issue is not with "-B" options. The same problem happens even if you don't use any "-B" - indeed it happens whenever you install into somewhere different from the "prefix" directory (i.e., where you may have to use G*C_EXEC_PREFIX).

Generally, G[PC]C_EXEC_PREFIX should be equivalent to `-B'. But there may be subtle differences (probably unintended). Does it also happen if you use `-B' instead of the variable?
