Seems like something has to be added there (or elsewhere) to support that apparently new mechanism. I hope Waldek will take care of it.
Otherwise, please note that gcc-3.3.x is still considered experimental.
I dont's this failure with gcc-3.3 CVS 20030831. The failing platforms for me are alpha-linux and ia64-linux (both 64bit).
See http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?arch=&pkg=gcc-3.3 for more details. hppa-linux and i486-linux built fine.
