Jorge, your suggestion is a great one. A few years back I worked in a nursing home, and in ours we had a ministry group that came in on Sunday morning, however the home would have permitted more groups to come in as long as times didn't conflict with other groups or meal times. The nursing home down the road from us couldn't find someone to conduct Sunday services. Our home also permitted room to room visits by visting minister(s). You will find a very receptive audience in nursing homes. You need to be sensitive enough to realize that these folks come from a variety of different faiths, and yet not to sensitive so you aren't offended when one tells you to get out. Some of these folks harbor deep seated resentment towards God for allowing them to finish up life in a nursing home. You will not run into this often, but be prepared. If you do run into one graciously leave, add them to your prayer list, and by all means try to see them next week. After they see you enough they may just open their heart to you. All in all, my advice would be let the Holy Spirit lead you, and go love these precious souls who are sitting on the doorstep to eternity. One final tip offering - There are those who are alive, but don't appear to be on the same planet. Mentally they are gone. Minister to them anyway remembering that Gods Word never returns void. May God go with you & Bless you who would minister love to the unlovely. Rick Hake
