Hi, I am trying to install gpc in a OSF1 Alpha system. However, I am unable to decompress gpc-19990118.alphaev56-dec-osf4.0d.tar.gz. I've already downloaded it three times (obviously in binary transfer mode), checked the version of gzip (it's version 1.2.4) [I've even downloaded the gzip source code and compiled] but without success... Is it possible that gpc-19990118.alphaev56-dec-osf4.0d.tar.gz is corrupted? What is your advice?
