I am able to get to the mailing list archives thru my Web browser. I have also registered to subscribe to this mailing list. Pls point me to any documentation on how to use this system.
On the Web page, I can read the mail that have been submitted using the link from the GPC documentation.
1. How do I reply to a particular mail? There is no option to reply to the entry that I am reading.
2. I sometimes see a section in the page that says "Reply to" with a list of previous messages. However, if I click on a mail entry in the list, that particular mail entry is displayed.
3. There is a login button at the end of the page for registered Crystal users. Do I need to register before I can reply to the mail in the mailing list?

There's none available. I thought it was more or less slef-explaining.
Or rather, as they say, the best documentation is the source which can be found at http://fjf.gnu.de/crystal/. :-)

No, I haven't enabled this feature yet. It's mostly a policy decision. We don't want anonymous replies on the list (and it might also create another entry for spammers, though I'm not sure how many spammers try to exploit web interfaces yet). And since the archive (technically) independent of the list distribution, we'd have to do a parallel user management (including passwords) for the archive.

"Reply to" with a list of previous messages. However, if I click on a mail entry in the list, that particular mail entry is displayed.
Yes, this means as much as "The present mail is a reply to the following mails". If you have a better idea how to name it, let me know.

Registration is currently only used for administrators, but I don't think it would be a problem to make it available for other users as well. I didn't expect anyone to want to reply via this way, so I didn't provide this options yet, but if there's some interest ...
I'd like to know if anyone else is interested, so I can decide if I should do the registrations manually or set up an automated system (if there are many) ...

You may have noticed if you looked at the headers that my mail arrived here several days after I sent it. Same for your mail.
I was told by the list maintainer that it was because the mail contains a "special" word recognized by majordomo. I suppose it might have been the word "sub- scribe" (I'm hyphenating it now to avoid the problem with this mail hopefully ;-).
We might argue whether that's a good or a bad thing -- at least it seems to help keep off the list the sub- scribe requests that people sometimes send to the list address rather than the admin address. Anyway, in the future you might want to look out for such words if you want to avoid delays ...
