It seems there is a string type in turbo pascal. Howver, in gpc it gives a compiler error if something is defined : String; So, there is no type string in gpc --standard-pascal? How do I read a string from the input? I need to use readln? I need to use a Text type variable or is there a predefined variable of text type that is used for standard input? How do I use readln?
