It's been quiet here...

Good Evening all... It sure has been quiet lately... I don't know about anyone else, but I've been doing my Spring Cleaning...and keeping really busy with repaints and sewing, etc. Although this is not Candi sized/related, I had to post (for those of you who have followed regarding my stepmother, Brenda)...she has just put up two BEAUTIFUL new fashions...they just keep getting better! Another good suggestion! I love tips like these because they are easy and something even I can do, LOL! Alysa looks really good in her new "do". I haven't seen any Capri Casual Janays in honey skin. I didn't know they had done any in that skin tone. BTW, I like the Capri Casual fashion on a Silkstone and as inexpensive as the Capri Casual dolls are, it is a good way to pick up a cute fashion for a Silkstone, LOL. I've never been crazy about the old Janay head mold either but since it is now retired I am glad I have a few examples in my collection. The old Janay head mold is now a part of doll "history", :-). Alysa's new do

Hi! Was playing with one of my Alysa dolls today and I decided to give her a new hair style (again). I razor cut it into a pageboy. It looks great! Here is a scan, it doesn't look at good in the scan but you can get the idea anyhow. http://www.geocities.com/randall_90/alysapageboy.jpg Also, went to check KMart again yesterday and found that there are two versions of the Capri Casual Janay, one dark skinned and one honey skinned. I'm not really a fan of this face mold but I bought one anyhow because I must say I don't think this face mold has ever looked better (and that high ponytail looks good on her too). Randall

Just wanted to mention... You know how the Integrity dolls have the plastic rings (well at least the play line ones do)? I myself hate having a big plastic thing in my doll's hands and I just discovered if you remove the ring and pour boiling water over the doll's hand the hole shrinks. Not they're only about as big as a pinhole. It works the same for the earring holes. Just thought this might be a helpful tip. Randall
